Veneers

Porcelain & cosmetic dental veneers

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite material that are bonded to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They can be used to correct a variety of cosmetic concerns, including chipped, stained, discolored, misshapen, unevenly spaced, or slightly crooked teeth.

Veneers offer a natural-looking solution for enhancing your smile and are often used to address some of the same cosmetic issues that can be treated with dental bonding. In many cases, little or no anesthesia is required during the procedure.

Veneers can be an attractive alternative to dental crowns for patients seeking cosmetic improvements while preserving more of the natural tooth structure. The process begins with your dentist taking impressions of your teeth. To ensure a comfortable fit and natural appearance, a small amount of tooth enamel is gently removed to accommodate the thickness of the veneer.

Once the custom-made veneer is ready, it is bonded directly to the tooth using a special dental cement. A curing light is then used to harden the cement and securely attach the veneer. Because porcelain veneers are custom fabricated in a dental laboratory, treatment typically requires more than one visit.

Porcelain veneers offer excellent durability, stain resistance, and long-term color stability, often lasting longer than dental bonding while maintaining a beautiful, natural appearance.
