Bringing hope and healthcare to the people of Haiti

The George Stines Foundation was founded by Dr. Alfred V. Stines in 2000 to provide free medical and dental care to the people of Haiti. Dr. Alfred Stines, his daughter Dr. Michelle Stines, family members, volunteer doctors, and other healthcare professionals make regular trips to Haiti to serve communities in need. During each trip, the team treats approximately 90 to 200 patients per day over the course of their stay.

While Dr. Stines practices dentistry in the United States, his humanitarian efforts in Haiti extend far beyond dental care. He has helped provide treatment for a wide range of medical needs, including prosthetic eye services, burn victim care, and other essential healthcare services. For more than 30 years, Dr. Stines has personally funded the development and operation of healthcare clinics throughout Haiti.

Today, Dr. Stines owns and operates three clinics in Haiti, located in Port-au-Prince, Pétion-Ville, and Jacmel. These facilities provide vital healthcare services to underserved communities and continue to improve access to care for thousands of patients.

Dr. Stines graduated from the University of Detroit and has dedicated more than four decades to the dental profession. He is an active member of both the Michigan Dental Association (MDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). He lives in Howell, Michigan, with his family and devotes much of his time to the Foundation's mission. Dr. Stines is fluent in French, Haitian Creole, and Spanish, allowing him to communicate directly with many of the people he serves.

In 2006, the George Stines Foundation expanded its outreach efforts by launching a seven-chair mobile clinic. Fully equipped for dental hygiene, restorative dentistry, extractions, and oral surgery, the mobile clinic enables the Foundation to reach remote areas of Haiti where access to healthcare is extremely limited.
