A permanent solution for missing teeth

Missing teeth can create a variety of problems, from affecting the appearance of your smile to making it more difficult to speak and chew properly. While there are several options for replacing missing teeth, dental implants have become one of the most popular and effective solutions.

Dental implants are considered the healthiest tooth replacement option because they replace both the visible portion of the tooth and its root. Unlike traditional restorations that sit above the gumline, implants restore the entire tooth structure.

A dental implant consists of three components. First, a titanium post is placed into the jawbone during a minor in-office procedure. An abutment is then attached to the implant, and a dental crown is secured to the abutment. A temporary crown may be placed initially, with the permanent crown typically placed after the implant has fully healed, usually within three to six months.

One of the greatest benefits of dental implants is their ability to preserve jawbone health. Because the implant replaces the tooth root, the natural forces created during chewing continue to stimulate the jawbone, helping prevent bone loss and maintaining facial structure.
